This tastes just like a pie you would pay money for at Village Inn or something. I love this stuff. I am bringing this to the Thanksgiving table as my pie.
yield: 2 small pies or 1 large deep dish pie plate
30 oreo cookies
1 stick of butter (melted)
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz cream cheese
16 oz cool whip
1 small pkg. vanilla INSTANT pudding
1 small pkg. chocolate INSTANT pudding
3 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans to add to crust (Optional)
Directions: Crush up cookies. Leave about 1/4 c. to sprinkle on the top of the pie when it is finished. Combine the melted butter, crushed oreo's, and pecans. Pat this mixture down into two metal pie tins or one large deep dish pie plate. This is your crust. In a large bowl mix together the cream cheese (soften first), and powdered sugar. Add in 1/2 of the whipped cream. This is the second layer and goes on top of the oreo crust. Next, in another large bowl, mix together the puddings with the 3 cups of milk. Stir this together until it becomes thick like pudding. Put this layer on top of the 2nd layer. Next put the rest of the whipped cream on the top of the pie and sprinkle with the 1/4 c. crushed oreo's. Put in fridge to set up for about 1-2 hours. The longer it sits, the more set up it becomes. This is a wonderful dessert.
